Election 2021 Results: Rajnath Singh Congratulates Stalin, Vijayan And Mamata Banerjee

“Congratulations to DMK leader, Thiru @mkstalin on his party’s victory in Tamil Nadu assembly elections. I extend my best wishes to him,” he tweeted. “Congratulations to the Chief Minister of Kerala Shri @vijayanpinarayi on his party’s victory in Kerala Assembly elections. My best wishes to him for his next tenure,” he posted.

New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday congratulated Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) chief M.K. Stalin, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and his West Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee on their parties’ splendid win in the state assembly elections and extended his best wishes to them.

“Congratulations to DMK leader, Thiru @mkstalin on his party’s victory in Tamil Nadu assembly elections. I extend my best wishes to him,” he tweeted.

“Congratulations to the Chief Minister of Kerala Shri @vijayanpinarayi on his party’s victory in Kerala Assembly elections. My best wishes to him for his next tenure,” he posted.

“Congratulations to the Chief Minister of West Bengal, @MamataOfficial Didi on her party’s victory in West Bengal assembly elections. My best wishes to her for her next tenure,” he wrote on the micro-blogging platform.

The Union Minister’s comments came as the DMK alliance is leading in 153 seats while the ruling AIADMK plus is trailing with 80 seats as counting of votes for the 234 assembly seats in Tamil Nadu is underway.

In Kerala, Vijayan-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) is all set to create history with two consecutive electoral victories. The LDF is leading in 100 seats while the Congress-led UDF is ahead in 40 seats as counting is on for 140 seats.

In West Bengal where counting of votes is in progress for 294 seats, the TMC is so far leading in 212 seats whereas the BJP, which made desperate efforts to win the assembly elections, is far behind with 77 seats.

Meanwhile, the senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader also showered praises on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the saffron party’s win in Assam while highlighting his pro-people policies. He also credited the victory to Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.

“The pro-people policies of Shri @narendramodi led Govt & the state Govt under @sarbanandsonwal have once again helped the BJP in winning assembly elections in Assam. Congratulations to PM Modi, CM Sonowal, Adhyaksh Shri @JPNadda & karyakartas on BJP’s impressive victory in Assam,” he said.

The BJP is all set to create history in Assam by becoming the only non-Congress government to win consecutive terms. The BJP-led NDA is leading in 73 seats while the Congress-led UPA is at a far distant leading in just 50 seats.

The majority mark to form the government in the 126-member Assam Assembly is 64.
