'Balasaheb Thackeray Didn't Teach Us...': Eknath Shinde Slams Uddhav's Sena Over 'Mera Baap Gaddar Hai' Jibe
Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi launched scathing attacks at Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde and his son saying the latter has "Mera Baap Gaddar Hai" written on his forehead.
A day after Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedia's filmy jibe "Mera Baap Gaddar Hai" against Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and his son sparked a massive political state row, the Maharashtra CM hit back at the opposition party and criticised it for the comments saying that "they have lost their balance, confidence, and ground beneath their feet". The Maharashtra CM added that this is not what "Balasaheb Thackeray taught them".
Claiming that Shiv Sena (UBT) cannot digest that Eknath Shinde became the CM of Maharahstra, he said: "They see just Eknath Shinde day in and day out. They can't even digest that I became the Chief Minister...People are with me and love me. But they can't digest it. So, they speak nonsense every day."
Slamming the party for the comments, Eknath Shinde went on to say that the level of accusations has lowered.
"This is not the culture of Maharashtra, Balasaheb Thackeray didn't teach us that. They have sold the ideology of their father, so what can be expected of them. So, I don't respond to their accusations. I answer accusations with my work. I keep working hard day and night," he added.

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi's Comments Against Eknath Shinde And His Son
The Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha member had said during a rally that "my father is a traitor" should be written on Eknath Shinde's son Shrikant Shinde.
Shrikant Shinde is eyeing a hat-trick from Maharashtra's Kalyan Lok Sabha seat in the adjoining Thane district.
“There was a movie, you would remember, Deewar. In that film, Amitabh Bachchan shows his hand where it’s written ‘Mera Baap Chor Hai’ [My father’s a thief]. This is written on his forehead, on Shrikant Shinde’s forehead – Mera Baap Gaddar Hai [My father’s a traitor],” Chaturvedi said while training guns at the Maharashtra CM and his son on Wednesday evening in Mumbai North East Lok Sabha constituency.
Chuturvedi's comments were made in reference to the 2022 political revolt, when Maha Vikas Aghadi governement, which was led by the then CM Uddhav Thackeray was toppled, following which Eknath Shinde joined BJP and took oath as the CM of Maharashtra.
Eknath Shinde Hits Back At Shiv Sena (UBT) Over 'Gaddar' Jibe
Replying to these comments the Maharashtra CM said: "The words used for me are applied to them. In 2019, they abandoned the ideology of Balasaheb Thackeray...They sold the ideology of their father. They committed a sin and the public will never forgive them...In 2019, they betrayed their friend and the people of Maharashtra."
"When we contested elections together, Shiv Sena and the BJP had the same ideology. People believed that there would be an alliance government and that is why they voted. But out of greed for the CM post, they went ahead with Congress and Sharad Pawar. This is betrayal...I don't use the kind of words they use. Balasaheb Thackeray and Anand Dighe didn't teach me that," he added.
