Delhi Elections: Congress Councillor Ariba Khan Likely To Be Fielded Against AAP's Amanatullah Khan From Okhla
The decision to name Ariba Khan was taken during Congress' Central Election Committee meeting on Tuesday.
Ariba Khan, Congress councillor and the daughter of former MLA Asif Mohammad Khan, is likely to be fielded as the party's candidate for Okhla assembly constituency.

Two-term AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan is contesting from the Okhla seat, while the BJP has named Manish Chaudhary from the seat.
Ariba's father Asif Mohammad Khan was the Okhla MLA between 2009 and 2015. Ariba is currently the Counsellor of Abul Fazal in Okhla since 2022.
The Congress has so far named candidates for 47 seats out of the 70 assembly seats in Delhi. The party has named Former Lok Sabha MP Sandeep Dikshit from New Delhi constituency and state party chief Devender Yadav from Badli seat. The party has also named Congress spokesperson Ragini Nayak from Wazirpur, Aruna Kumari from Narela, Mangesh Tyagi from Burari, Shivank Singhal from Adarsh Nagar, and Jai Kishan from Sultanpur Majra.
Other candidates who have been fielded include Rohit Chaudhary from Nangloi Jat, Praveen Jain from Shalimarbagh, Anil Bhardwaj from Sadar Bazar, Mudit Agarwal from Chandni Chowk and Haroon Yusuf from Ballimaran. Meanwhile, the grand-old party has fielded PS Bawa from Tilak Nagar, Adarsh Shastri from Dwarka, Abhishek Dutt from Kasturba Nagar, Rajinder Tanwar from Chhatarpur and Jay Prakash from Ambedkar Nagar.
