How BJP's Campaign Songs Sung By Manoj Tiwari Became A Message For 'Engine' Change In Delhi
BJP's campaign songs became the campaign's most popular track conveying the message of engine change in Delhi.

Delhi Election Results: The BJP's return to power after 26 years is credited to many factors, but party leaders highlighted how the Safron party's campaign songs inched it towards victory.
The BJP intensified its attacks on the AAP through campaign songs ahead of the Delhi elections. The party rolled out four songs during its month-long campaign for the elections. BJP MP Manoj Tiwari sang "Bahane nahi badlav chahiye, Delhi mein BJP sarkar chahiye" (need change not excuses, Delhi requires BJP government). Tiwari while launching the song said there are times one is required to give voice to the people's feelings.
"The theme song summarises the manifesto," Tiwari had said. The party also released "Sheesh Mahal, apda failane walon ka adda", targeting AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal over alleged irregularities in the construction of his official residence.
These songs became the campaign's most popular track conveying the message of engine change in Delhi that later on became an integral part of BJP's political attacks on Kejriwal led to AAP's failures in the national capital, said party leader Neel Kant Bakshi.
Bakshi, creative director of all four songs also including those voiced by Amit Dhull and former Azamgarh MP and Bhojpuri film star Dinesh Lal Yadav "Nirahua", said political messaging, catchy lyrics and rhythmic beats were crucial elements of these video songs.
BJP Sweeps Delhi
BJP won 48 seats in the 70-member Assembly, ousting the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which managed to secure only 22 seats after a decade in power. The Congress failed to open its account for the third consecutive time.
The party’s manifesto, Viksit Delhi Sankalp Patra, focused on welfare measures across sectors, including women’s empowerment, education, employment, healthcare, and urban development.
What makes the BJP's manifesto distinct is the emphasis on 'housing for all' and a promise to regularise 1700 unauthorised colonies in the capital.
