Kejriwal, who contested the seat for the fourth consecutive term, lost to BJP leader Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma. Now, a video is trending on X wherein Kejriwal announced that the BJP can't defeat the Aam Aadmi Party in this "lifetime".

"Their intention is to topple the AAP government, and Narendra Modi ji wants to form a government in Delhi this way; they know they can't defeat us through elections. I want to tell Narendra Modi ji that you cannot defeat us in this life, and you will have to take another birth to defeat us in Delhi," Kejriwal had said in a public meeting in 2023.
Meanwhile, the BJP is set to make a thumping comeback in Delhi after more than 26 years on Saturday. Trends and results on the Election Commission website showed the BJP ahead in 48 seats and the AAP in 22 of the 70 seats in the national capital. AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia lost the polls in their respective seats of New Delhi and Jangpura. Kejriwal lost the election to BJP's Parvesh Verma, while Sisodia lost to Tarvinder Singh Marwah.
Congress, which had ruled the national capital for 15 years under Sheila Dikshit, was nowhere close to the contest.
