'This Is How We Fight Polls': Kejriwal On Central Nod To ED As He Marches With Supporters To File Nomination

AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal has filed his nomination for the Delhi Assembly Election 2025. He will be going up against BJP's Parvesh Verma and Congress's Sandeep Dikshit.

AAP National Convenor and the party's candidate from the New Delhi Assembly seat, Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday filed his nomination for the Delhi Assembly Election 2025. He will be facing BJP's Parvesh Verma and Congress's Sandeep Dikshit in the elections.

Arvind Kejriwal along with his wife Sunita and party workers marched to the Returning Officer's office on Wednesday to file his nomination papers for the Delhi Assembly elections. During the march, he interacted with mediapersons. Reacting to the Centre's nod to ED for prosecution against him, Kejriwal said: "That is how they fight polls and this [marching with supporters] is how we fight."

The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has given its permission to prosecute Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi liquor policy case. The AAP said it was a conspiracy by the BJP and this was the saffron party's plan for this election all along.

Before filing his nomination, Arvind Kejriwal and his wife Sunita Kejriwal offered prayers at the Pracheen Hanuman Mandir in Connaught Place and the Valmiki Temple.

Before the nomination, he said: "Today I am going to file my nomination papers from the New Delhi Assembly seat. Mothers and sisters of Delhi will accompany me to bless me. I also appeal to the 2.5 crore people of Delhi to give me their blessings so that we can form the government again and work on schools, hospitals, electricity, and give an honorarium to women."

AAP leader Sandeep Pathak said: “Arvind Kejriwal has filed his nomination [from New Delhi constituency] today after holding a 'padyatra' with mothers and sisters. The message is clear… The public is smart and aware. I believe AAP will win like previous elections."
