Clash Of Rivals In Amethi Today: Fireworks Expected As Rahul, Smriti Together At Ex-Gandhi Bastion
It is anticipated to be a clash of rivals as the two leaders will be in Amethi on the same day. The two leaders were last in Amethi together, in February 2022, during the UP election campaign.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will be arriving in Amethi, the parliamentary seat he formerly represented, on Monday, the same day as Union Minister and local member of parliament (MP) Smriti Irani begins her four-day visit to the Uttar Pradesh town ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. It is anticipated to be a clash of rivals as the two leaders will be in Amethi on the same day. The two leaders meeting face to face is implausible, but the coincidence follows fireworks during the frantic campaigning for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Amethi and elsewhere.

Rahul Gandhi On Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra
Rahul Gandhi will visit Amethi on Monday as part of his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, which began on January 14 in Thoubal, Manipur, in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in April-May. The yatra, which runs from east to west throughout India, will culminate on March 20 in Mumbai.
Gandhi plans to host a road show and public gathering in Amethi.
Smriti To Fulfil Her Promise Of Living In Amethi
Smriti Irani's representative, Vijay Gupta, told news agency PTI that the Union Minister of Women and Child Development and Minority Affairs would begin a four-day trip of her constituency on February 19. In addition to attending her housewarming event on February 22, the Minister will also interact with residents. During her earlier election campaign, Irani had promised the residents of Amethi that she would build a house and live there.
After 2022, Smriti And Rahul Will Be In Amethi Today
The two leaders were last in Amethi together two years ago, in February 2022, during the Uttar Pradesh assembly election campaign. Before that, the two leaders crossed paths during the 2019 election campaign.
Rahul Gandhi has won Lok Sabha elections three times from Amethi, the former Nehru-Gandhi family bastion, until he lost to Smriti Irani in the 2019 general assembly election. Rahul Gandhi, on the other hand, won Wayanad in Kerala, his second seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha election.
