Clash Of Rivals In Amethi Today: Fireworks Expected As Rahul, Smriti Together At Ex-Gandhi Bastion

It is anticipated to be a clash of rivals as the two leaders will be in Amethi on the same day. The two leaders were last in Amethi together, in February 2022, during the UP election campaign.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will be arriving in Amethi, the parliamentary seat he formerly represented, on Monday, the same day as Union Minister and local member of parliament (MP) Smriti Irani begins her four-day visit to the Uttar Pradesh town ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. It is anticipated to be a clash of rivals as the two leaders will be in Amethi on the same day. The two leaders meeting face to face is implausible, but the coincidence follows fireworks during the frantic campaigning for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Amethi and elsewhere.

Smriti To Fulfil Her Promise Of Living In Amethi

Smriti Irani's representative, Vijay Gupta, told news agency PTI that the Union Minister of Women and Child Development and Minority Affairs would begin a four-day trip of her constituency on February 19. In addition to attending her housewarming event on February 22, the Minister will also interact with residents. During her earlier election campaign, Irani had promised the residents of Amethi that she would build a house and live there.

The two leaders were last in Amethi together two years ago, in February 2022, during the Uttar Pradesh assembly election campaign. Before that, the two leaders crossed paths during the 2019 election campaign.
