Assembly election results 2018: Not victory of Congress but anger of the people, says Shiv Sena
The party has not been in congenial terms with BJP and has left no stones unturned to attack the latter on several issues. Recently, it attacked BJP over the violence in party-ruled Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr, asking if it was orchestrated to polarise society on religious grounds ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
New Delhi: Shiv Sena has discredited the Congress party despite the latter having performed exceptionally well in the four state elections whose results are being declared today. Speaking to reporters in Parliament over assembly election results, Sena MP Sanjay Raut said that the victories of Congress is actually the anger of the people. "Self-reflection is needed."
The parliamentarian did not believe it's the comeback of the Congress and at the same time issued an oblique attack on the BJP.

Recently, it attacked BJP over the violence in party-ruled Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr, asking if it was orchestrated to polarise society on religious grounds ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
It's chief Uddhav Thackeray last week said the Narendra Modi government was sleeping like "Kumbhakarna" on the Ram Mandir issue. Raut had then stoked controversy saying that "Ram bhakts" took "17 minutes to demolish" Babri mosque, but how long will the government take to bring in a law for construction of temple at the site."
The editorials in Shiv Sena's mouthpiece "Saamana"often criticise the BJP-led governments at the Centre and in Maharashtra.
