'Amit Shah doesn't want country sans-Congress, but he wants it free of Muslims' says AIMIM Chief Owaisi

Owaisi’s AIMIM has already re-nominated its seven sitting MLAs to contest in Hyderabad’s old city area. The party is set to release its second list soon.

New Delhi: AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi has made shocking claim against Bharatiya Janta Party Chief Amit Shah while addressing a rally in Telangana’s Bahadurpur. Speaking at the rally, Owaisi said that “Amit Shah wants India to be free of Muslims”. He said “Amit Shah is chanting Majlis-mukt (free of Majlis party) country, but he doesn’t want Majlis-mukt bharat, but instead is wants a country without Muslims”; “You don’t want country to be free of Congress”. The statement has come at a time when the political buzz in the country has escalated in the wake of upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Owaisi’s AIMIM has already re-nominated its seven sitting MLAs to contest in Hyderabad’s old city area. The party is set to release its second list soon. Owaisi takes TDP and Congress:  The leader further spoke about the upcoming Assembly polls in Telangana and said “The party is trying too hard to attain victory in Telangana, but they won’t succeed”. “TDP has allied with Congress; (How will) you run Telangana by sitting in Andhra Pradesh?” he said sarcastically. “(How will) Congress take decisions for Telangana by sitting in Delhi? Will the decisions be taken from Nagpur? Absolutely not” he added.
