The last time Navjot Singh Sidhu was trending on Twitter was when he was the judge on 'The Kapil Sharma Show' and he had made a controversial statement post Pulwama Attack strongly condemning the "cowardly" attack but saying whether an entire nation can be blamed for a handful of people. #BoycottTheKapilSharmaShow and #BoycottSidhu was trending for two days straight which eventually resulted in his ouster from TKSS. Sidhu who has been replaced by Archana Puran Singh since, is yet again trending and the reason is his statement on Rahul Gandhi Vs Smriti Irani in Amethi for the Lok Sabha Elections 2019. Sidhu had said last month that he would quit politics if Congress chief Rahul Gandhi lost the Lok Sabha election from Amethi. Smriti Irani defeated the Congress president and sitting MP by a margin of 55,120 votes. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Gandhi had defeated Irani by 1,07,903 votes. Rahul Gandhi likely to resign from the post of Congress President at CWC meeting And now the social media users cannot keep calm and they are asking Sidhu to quit politics and hashtag #SidhuQuitPolitics has been trending since morning.
