ABP VIP Exit Poll: Here's how political bigwigs are likely to fare in Lok Sabha elections 2019

While the country waits for the Lok Sabha election results on Thursday, many will also be keenly following crucial seats which are being contested by VIPs, and also for possible upsets that might have great political repercussions.

NEW DELHI: As the country waits for the Lok Sabha election results on Thursday, many will also be keenly following crucial seats which are being contested by VIPs, and also for possible upsets that might have great political repercussions. While the outcome of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Varanasi seat will be watched globally, other seats like Amethi and Raebareli of Congress president Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi respectively will be of equal interest to the people. In Uttar Pradesh, many believe that Varanasi would be a cakewalk for Modi while in Amethi, Union minister Smriti Irani is challenging Rahul Gandhi. She has spent a lot of time with the voters there, making the BJP workers feel that she will make the Congress chief uncomfortable this time. Gandhi is also contesting from Wayanad in Kerala. The seats of Azamgarh, Kannauj and Mainpuri, from where SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, his wife Dimple Yadav and SP founder Mulayam Singh are contesting respectively, are also crucial. Home Minister Rajnath Singh is once again in the fray from the Lucknow seat, a BJP stronghold. The prestige of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is at stake in Gorakhpur, from where the BJP fielded actor Ravi Kishan. In Madhya Pradesh, eyes are also set on the outcome from Bhopal seat which is witnessing an interesting contest between Congress’ Digvijay Singh and Malegaon blast case accused Sadhvi Pragya Thakur. In Gujarat, BJP President Amit Shah is contesting Lok Sabha elections from Gandhinagar, a seat held by party veteran LK Advani, making it a VIP seat. In Bihar, former JNU Students' Union President Kanhaiya Kumar, accused of sedition for allegedly doing nothing to prevent the raising of anti-India slogans on the campus, is a CPI candidate against Union Minister and BJP nominee Giriraj Singh.
Here is a seat wise prediction of VIP leaders from different political parties across the country as projected by ABP News Exit Poll
