Meanwhile, Congress turncoat Gurpreet Singh GP has been fielded from the Fatehgarh Sahib seat. The former Congress MLA from Bassi Pathana recently switched to the AAP. Punjabi actor Karamjeet Anmol has been nominated from the Faridkot seat.

"The Aam Aadmi Party proudly presents its candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024 in Punjab," said the party in a post on X.
The party has also fieled sitting MP Sushil Rinku from the same seat of Jalandhar again.
While the INDIA bloc's AAP and Congress have agreed to a seat-sharing arrangement for the elections in Delhi, Gujarat, and Haryana, both parties have opted to contest independently in Punjab.
The opposition alliance, which includes parties such as the Trinamool Congress, the Samajwadi Party, and the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, was formed with the aim of challenging the BJP in the upcoming parliamentary elections. Currently, the Amritsar seat is held by Congress MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla, and Bathinda is represented by Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal.
In Punjab, the seats of Khadoor Singh, Fatehgarh Sahib, Faridkot, and Sangrur are held by Congress MPs Jasbir Singh Gill, Amar Singh, Mohammad Sadique, and SAD (Amritsar) MP Simranjit Singh Mann respectively.
