Delhi Election: AAP Alleges Cash-For-Votes Scam In Kejriwal's Constituency, To Lodge Complaint Against BJP

Ahead of the 2025 Delhi Assembly election, the AAP has accused the BJP of distributing money to influence voters, in the New Delhi constituency, where Arvind Kejriwal is the AAP's candidate.

Amid the intense war ahead of the Delhi Assembly election 2025, the AAP is planning to lodge a police complaint against the Bharatiya Janata Party, accusing it of using money power to influence voters. AAP leader and Delhi Chief Minister Atishi on Tuesday said that the BJP is distributing money among voters by checking their voter IDs in the New Delhi assembly constituency, which Arvind Kejriwal contesting.

"Today, Parvesh Verma was caught distributing money at his official residence, which he got as an MP. Women from different slums of different areas of the New Delhi assembly constituency were called there and were given Rs 1,100 in an envelope," Atishi alleged.

"I want to tell the Enforcement Directorate and the CBI that cash worth crores of rupees is still lying at Parvesh Verma's house, you go now. The Election Commission should get the ED and the Delhi Police to raid Pravesh Verma's official residence and arrest him right now," she further said.

She said that the BJP is trying to win a "lost election". She also said that the pamphlet in which the money was being distributed had pictures of PM Narendra Modi and BJP national president JP Nadda. She said the AAP will lodge a police complaint as well as write to the Election Commission about the matter.
