Doval drew a parallel of the voters mindset with the soldiers of the nation, saying that national interest lay supreme in the minds of the electorate of India, Doval added that people have exuded confidence in PM Modi's leadership "National Interest Prevailed over Self Interest, People of India set aside any discontent against Govt and Voted largely in favor of Nationalism. They felt the present leadership giving furtherance to the cause of National Interest over any personal interest, It is the national will of the people to see a strong nation over any caste/religion divide that has reflected in the results today. When a soldier dies, he dies for the nation keeping his self interest aside...Its the Leadership that matters, they saw in the Present Leadership, the will to take national interest ahead of any other thing"- Doval to ABP News on election result trends.
