2019 LS poll results: National interest overtook self interest, people largely voted in favour of nationalism: NSA Doval
Reflecting on how the result trends were panning out for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls , National Security Advisor Ajit Doval said that the Indian voters had put aside self interest and chosen national interest while casting their franchise in the general elections.
New Delhi: The counting of votes for the 2019 general elections is underway and as per the latest poll result trends on ABP News, the BJP-led NDA had crossed the 272 halfway mark and were inching towards a landslide win in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
According to the latest trends pouring in on ABP News, BJP alone had bettered their figure of 282-seats win mark, with the NDA crossing their last elections tally of 336 seats.
Reflecting on how the result trends were panning out for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls , National Security Advisor Ajit Doval said that the Indian voters had put aside self interest and chosen national interest while casting their franchise in the general elections. Doval drew a parallel of the voters mindset with the soldiers of the nation, saying that national interest lay supreme in the minds of the electorate of India, Doval added that people have exuded confidence in PM Modi's leadership

The 2019 Lok Sabha polls happened in seven phases across 542 parliamentary constituencies from April 11 to May 19. The BJP-led NDA formed the government at the Centre after clinching a thumping majority in the 2014 LS polls, winning 336 out of the total 542 Lok Sabha seats. The counting of the votes is underway today.
