New Delhi: The polling / voting in Wazirpur constituency in the 2020 Assembly Elections took place on 8th February. Aam Aadmi Party Rajesh Gupta is pitted against Bharatiya Janata Party Mahendra Nagpal and Congress Party Congress Party Had Kishan Jindal Voting in Wazirpur Assembly was held on 8 February in which 60.38% voters exercised their vote. Counting of votes in Badarpur Assembly will begin today from 8 am, whose latest information will be available on this page.

  • 1993 Assembly Elections: In 2nd Assembly election, interesting battle was seen seen between INC and BJP; here INC candidate defeated his BJP counterpart with a difference of 479 votes.

  • 1998 Assembly Elections: In third Assembly election, INC candidate defeated BJP candidate with a difference of 14878 votes. Here, INC leader Bandhu Deep Chand attained 36010 votes and BJP candidate Shyam Lal Garg bagged 21132 votes

  • 2003 Assembly Elections: In 4th Assembly election, interesting battle was seen seen between BJP and INC here BJP candidate defeated his INC counterpart with a difference of 2507 votes.

  • 2008 Assembly Elections: In Fifth Assembly election, interesting battle was seen seen between INC and BJP here INC candidate defeated his BJP counterpart with a difference of 3140 votes.

  • 2013 Assembly Elections: In 6th Assembly election, interesting battle was seen seen between BJP and AAP here BJP candidate defeated his AAP counterpart with a difference of 5574 votes.

340(51%) candidates have declared their educational qualification to be between 5th and 12th, while 298(44%) candidates have declared having an educational qualification of graduate or above. 12 candidates are diploma holder and 6 candidates are literate. There are 16 candidates who are Illiterate.

Among major parties, 42(60%) out of 70 candidates analysed from AAP, 26(39%) out of 67 candidates analysed from BJP, 18(27%) out of 66 candidates analysed from INC, 12 (18%) out of 66 candidates analysed from BSP and 3(60%) out of 5 candidates from NCP have declared criminal cases against themselves in their affidavits.
