Raigarh: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Vishnu Deo Sai from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 216750 votes. The polling / voting in Raigarh constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 3 on 23 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Gomtee Sai and Congress Party#s Laljeet singh rathia

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 10 out of the 11 parliamentary seat with 48.7 percent vote share while the Indian National Congress managed to win just 1 seats with a 38.4 percent vote share.

The total voter turnout was 77.60% Lok Sabha percent with 78.10% Lok Sabha percent male voters turning out to cast their votes. Out of the 12 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Raigarh, 10 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Vishnu Deo Sai of the Bharatiya Janta Party as he defeated Arti Singh by a margin of 216750 votes.

• 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Bharatiya Janta Party and Indian National Congress here Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated his Indian National Congress counterpart with a difference of 5773 votes.
• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Indian National Congress and Bharatiya Janta Party here Indian National Congress candidate defeated his Bharatiya Janta Party counterpart with a difference of 4382 votes.
• 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Bharatiya Janta Party and Indian National Congress here Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated his Indian National Congress counterpart with a difference of 9198 votes.
• 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate by a margin of 55814 votes INC candidate Pushpadevi Singh (W) had got 194080 while BJP got Nand Kumar Sai votes.
• 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 21010 votes. Here, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Nand Kumar Sai attained 218587 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Pushpa Devi bagged 197577 votes
• 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Pushpa Devi attained 216777 votes and BJP's Nand Kumar Sai bagged 103986 votes.
• 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated JNP candidate by a margin of 81095 votes INC(I) candidate Pushpa Devi Singh had got 137129 while JNP got Narhari Prasad Sai votes.
• 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha election, BLD candidate defeated INC candidate with a difference of 19812 votes. Here, BLD leader Narhari Prasad Sukhdeo Sai attained 116574 votes and INC candidate Ummed Singh bagged 96762 votes
• 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated BJS candidate with a difference of 27655 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Umedsingh attained 101686 votes and BJS candidate Laljitsingh Daljitsingh bagged 74031 votes
• 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated BJS candidate with a difference of 29146 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader R. Gandha attained 104980 votes and BJS candidate Narhariprasad bagged 75834 votes
• 1962 Lok Sabha Elections: In Third Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between RRP and INC here RRP candidate defeated his INC counterpart with a difference of 9117 votes.
• 1951 Lok Sabha Elections: In India's Very First Lok Sabha Polls, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated RRP candidate by a margin of 60205 votes INC candidate Babunath Singh had got 148487 while RRP got Rameshwar Budgi votes.

जम्मू काश्मीरच्या अनंतनाग लोकसभा मतदारसंघासाठी सुरु असलेल्या मतदानादरम्यान दहशतवाद्यांचा पुलवामा जिल्ह्यात काही तासांच्या अंतरात तिसऱ्यांदा ग्रेनेड हल्ला केला आहे. अतिरेक्यांनी छतपोरामधील सरकारी शाळेतील मतदान केंद्रावर निशाणा साधला. त्याआधी तिकनपोरा आणि रोहमूमधील मतदान केद्रांवर दहशतवाद्यांनी ग्रेनेड फेकला होता. सुदैवाची गोष्ट म्हणजे तिन्ही हल्ल्यात कोणीही जखमी झाल्याचं वृत्त नाही.
