The polling in Bawana constituency in the 2020 Assembly Election elections took place on 8th February. Aam Aadmi Party has fielded Jai Bhagwan Upkar while Ravindra Kumar Indral is contesting on a Bharatiya Janata Party ticket. Voting in Bawana Assembly was held on 8 February in which 61.6% voters exercised their vote.  1998 Assembly Elections: In third Assembly election, INC candidate defeated IND candidate with a difference of 25698 votes. Here, INC leader Surender Kumar attained 40241 votes and IND candidate Om Parkash Rang bagged 14543 votes
 2003 Assembly Elections: In 4th Assembly election, INC candidate defeated BJP candidate with a difference of 14522 votes. Here, INC leader Surender Kumar attained 50327 votes and BJP candidate Rajkumar bagged 35805 votes
 2008 Assembly Elections: In 5th Assembly election, INC candidate defeated BJP candidate with a difference of 17142 votes. Here, INC leader Surender Kumar attained 60544 votes and BJP candidate Chand Ram bagged 43402 votes
 2013 Assembly Elections: In 6th Assembly election, BJP candidate defeated AAP candidate with a difference of 25639 votes. Here, BJP leader Gugan Singh attained 68407 votes and AAP candidate Manoj bagged 42768 votes
