Anandpur Sahib: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Prem Singh Chandumajra from Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) won the elections by a margin of 23697 votes. The polling / voting in Anandpur Sahib constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 7 on 19 May. The major contest is between Shiromani Akali Dal#s Prem Singh Chandumajra and Congress Party#s Manish tewari

Anandpur Sahib 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Indian National Congress won 3 out of the 13 parliamentary seat with 33.1 percent vote share while the Shiromani Akali Dal managed to win just 4 seats with a 20.3 percent vote share.

Voter turnout in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Anandpur Sahib Lok Sabha Lok Sabha constituency. The total voter turnout was 69.44% Lok Sabha percent with 67.82% Lok Sabha percent male voters turning out to cast their votes. Meanwhile, 71.21% Lok Sabha percent of the women voters cast their votes and 5937 Lok Sabha voters pressed on the NOTA

Out of the 18 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Anandpur Sahib, 15 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Prem Singh Chandumajra of the Shiromani Akali Dal as he defeated Ambika Soni by a margin of 23697 votes.
