UP Deputy CM Directs Varsities To Conduct Exam By August 15, Check Details

In a video conference with the VCs, the minister asked varsities to ensure the covid-19 protocols to be followed while holding the examination. He further directed that the total duration of the examination should be one and a half hours.

The Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Dinesh Sharma directed the vice-chancellors of state universities to conduct the examination by August 15, 2021, and declare the results by the end of August 2021, as per the media reports. 

In a video conference with the VCs, the minister asked varsities to ensure the covid-19 protocols to be followed while holding the examination. He further directed that the total duration of the examination should be one and a half hours.

The minister also ordered the varsities to begin the online admission process from August 15, 2021, onwards,  by following a transparent policy for admission in various undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

As per the government direction, the new academic session in the UP varsities is scheduled to begin from September 2021 onwards.

According to the media reports, the minister also said that there will be no practical examinations this year and their marks will be determined based on the student's performance in the written examination. In order to simplify the examination, the Executive Council of the concerned varsity for the nature of the examination and question paper will be authorized to the respective Vice-Chancellor of the university.

The meeting was conducted to discuss the protocols for the conduct of examinations, implementation of minimum uniform courses, progress in introducing new programs such as Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Nursing, among various others.
