UP Board Exam 2023 for class 10 and 12 will begin on February 16 at various centres across the state.
UP Board will release the admit card for class 10 and 12 soon on the official website of UPMSP, upmsp.edu.in. The admit card will be made available to schools and schools will distribute it to the students. As per the timetable, both UP board 10th and 12th final exams will begin on February 16. Class 10 final exams will get over by March 3 and Class 12 final exams will continue till March 4.
This year, 58 lakh students have registered for the class 10, 12 exams in the state. Out of this, 31,16,458 students have registered for Class 10 and 27,50,871 students have registered for Class 12 exams.
The UP Board is taking steps to ensure the fairness of the upcoming class 10 and 12 board exams. 16 districts in the state have been deemed "very sensitive" and require extra precautions to be taken. These districts are Prayagraj, Mathura, Baghpat, Aligarh, Mainpuri, Etah, Hardoi, Azamgarh, Ballia, Mau, Kaushambi, Chandauli, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Deoria, and Gonda.
UP Board Secretary Divyakant Shukla issued instructions to all divisional commissioners, district magistrates, police commissioners, district police chiefs, and divisional joint directors of education to take steps to ensure a smooth and fair exam process.
Shukla stated that extra vigilance will be exercised during exams for 20 specific subjects where cheating is more likely to occur. He called for increased preventive measures against cheating, including monitoring and surveillance during exams for subjects such as Hindi, Home Science, Mathematics, Sanskrit, Painting, Science, English, and Social Science for class 10, and Hindi/General Hindi, Geography, English, Biology, Mathematics, Civics, Economics, Physics, History, Sanskrit, Chemistry, and Sociology for class 12.
To ensure fair and cheating-free exams, one officer each has been appointed in all 75 districts in the state. These designated officers will inspect examination centers on February 8th and 9th and submit a report to the Director General of School Education, the Secretary of the UP Board, and the DMs of the respective districts. The DMs will be responsible for addressing any shortcomings identified during the inspections.
The UP Board Secretary has also requested daily reports on 18 specific points from the additional secretaries of the Meerut, Bareilly, Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Gorakhpur regional offices of the UP Board.
