UGC NET 2024 New Exam Date: The NTA has released revised dates for the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) 2024 June session and other exams.

UGC NET 2024 New Exam Date: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Friday released revised dates for the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) 2024 June session, following the cancellation of the earlier scheduled exam due to alleged question paper leaks. According to the latest announcement, the NCET 2024 exam is slated for July 10, while the Joint CSIR UGC NET will be conducted from July 25 to 27. The UGC NET June 2024 Cycle has been rescheduled to take place between August 21 and September 4.

The NTA issued a notice titled "NTA Examination Calendar for upcoming Examinations," informing candidates about the new dates and mode of examination. Initially conducted in pen and paper mode, the UGC NET June 2024 Cycle will now transition to a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format.

Earlier this month, the UGC-NET exam on June 18 faced scrutiny after reports of a leaked question paper surfaced, prompting the Ministry of Education to cancel the examination the following day.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan confirmed during a press briefing that the decision was made swiftly upon verification that the leaked paper matched the original, citing concerns over the integrity of the examination.

"The UGC-NET question paper was discovered on the darknet, mirroring the original," said Pradhan, highlighting the clandestine nature of the dark web where anonymity and untraceable transactions are prevalent. Addressing concerns over the incident, Pradhan reassured that strict actions would be taken against those responsible for the breach, emphasizing the government's commitment to maintaining a flawless examination process.
