UGC NET Latest Updates: NTA Likely To Postpone Upcoming NET Exams; To Release NEW DATES Soon
UGC NET Admit Card Release Update: The National Testing Agency is likely to postpone the UGC NET exams and release new dates for the exam soon.
UGC NET 2020: The National Testing Agency (NTA) may postpone the UGC NET exam which is scheduled on September 16 and is expected to release new dates soon. A candidate from Jharkhand who does not want to be named had shared a screenshot of the response from NTA for an email seeking updates of the exam
In the mail, the NTA informed that candidate that it will soon notify revised dates for the exams on the official website.

UGC NET 2020 exams will be conducted by NTA in 81 subjects at different Exam Centers across India to determine the eligibility for the post of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) or Assistant Professor only in various Indian Universities/ Colleges/ Institutions recognised by UGC. After a considerable delay due to the pandemic the exams which were supposed to take place in June were postponed to September 16.
In its official notification, the NTA had said that the hall tickets will be released 15 days ahead of the date of exam commencement but have still not given any confirmed dates. But with just two days to go for the exams the NTA has still not released the admit cards. It is to be noted that the NTA has not announced any change to the syllabus or pattern of exams. The exam will comprise two papers Paper I and II containing multiple-choice questions (MCQs). While Paper I which is on teaching and research aptitude is common and mandatory for all candidates, Paper II will be on the subject selected by the candidate. Both papers have to be completed within 3 hours.
