Tripura Institute Of Technology, Taiwan University To Join Hands For Academic Exchange Programmes

The agreement between Tripura Institute of Technology and Providence University Taiwan will facilitate the exchange of students and faculty training programmes between both institutions.

The Tripura Institute of Technology (TIT), a government-run engineering college in Agartala, has partnered with the Province University in Taiwan to foster various academic exchange programmes, as per an official. Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sha, who also holds the education ministry, had already cleared the proposal for signing the agreement with the Providence University of Taiwan, the official added further. He further said that once the pact is inked, students from the TIT would soon be able to study various short-term programmes offered by the Providence University in Taiwan, besides faculty members engaging in various programmes facilitated by the Providence University.

"The students and faculty members of the TIT will be able to undertake joint research, publications, and academic seminars in the Taiwan university", the official was quoted as saying by news agency PTI. The agreement for academic support between the two institutions would also offer Tripura Institute of Technology with an opportunity to improve its rankings by National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF), he added. He further said that the TIT has already set up a facility for drone technology training.
