RRB Group D Fee Refund: Deadline to submit bank account details extended till April 10; apply now

RRBs have extended the deadline to submit bank account details for candidates who are eligible to get refund of their examination fee.

RRBs could not initiate exam fee refunds due to incomplete bank account information
RRBs have decided to extend the correction of bank details up to 10th April 2019, next week
RRB Group D Fee Refund: The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have extended the deadline to submit bank account details for candidates who are eligible to get refund of their examination fee for RRB Group D Recruitment 2018 against CEN 02/2018. The Indian Railways had enabled an Update Bank Account Link from 22nd to 28th March 2019, last month, when it found incomplete/missing bank details of candidates who had appeared for the first stage CBT. The RRBs could not initiate exam fee refunds due to incomplete bank account information. However, a week after the ‘Update Bank Account Link’ window was closed, the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have observed that a large number of candidates who are eligible to get the examination fee refund are yet to correct/provide Bank account details. Thereby, the RRBs have decided to extend the correction of bank details up to 10th April 2019, next week. “RRBs as a special case have decided to extend the last date for furnishing / Correcting the Bank account details till 10-04-19 beyond which candidates will not be able to modify / Provide the Bank account details and RRBs shall not be responsible for the failure of refund transaction,” reads the notice issued by the Indian Railways. As per RRBs, candidates must update their Bank IFSC code and Account number immediately to avoid failure of refund transaction. Candidates must note that upon updating the correct account details, the Indian Railways will be able to issue a fee refund of Rs. 250 for exempted categories (full refund) and Rs. 400 for non-exempted categories (against examination fee of Rs. 500).
