QS Graduate Employability Rankings: IIT Bombay Tops In Indian Universities - Know Details

The QS Graduate Employability Rankings ranking was released on September 23, 2021.

New Delhi: This year's QS Graduate Employability Rankings rate graduates from IIT Bombay to have the best employment potential from an Indian educational institution and at the same time it is among the top 22% of 550 institutions around the world.

The QS Graduate Employability Rankings ranking was released on September 23, 2021. This time the Institute improved its performance and has moved up to the range of 101-110 for the year 2021. Last year, IIT Bombay ranked between 111-120 in the QS ranking.

Employer Reputation Given The Highest Importance

QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2022 has been released by a British Company, Quacquarelli Symonds. The QS ranking is based on several factors such as Employer Reputation, Graduation Outcome, Partnership with Employees, Alumni Outcome, and connection between Employers and Students. Employer Reputation has been given the highest importance among all parameters. This year, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology or MIT has secured the top rank in the QS Employability Ranking 2022.

IIT-Delhi In The list

IIT Delhi improved its ranking and made it in the top 150 list. While IIT Delhi was ranked 151-160 in 2020, it has moved up to 131-140 ranks in 2021.

IIT Madras is among the top 200 in the QS Graduate Employability Rankings released on Thursday. According to 50,000 employers surveyed by QS, MIT, Stanford, and the University of California topped the list.

In all, QS included 12 Indian universities on the list of top 550 institutions. Four of them have improved their position since the last iteration of the rankings, two have declined in the rank while two - OP Jindal Global University and Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee - are new entries this year.

3 Indian Central University Also Included

Three Central Universities - Delhi University, Mumbai University and Calcutta University - have made it to the list. In private universities, OP Jindal Global University, Sonipat and BITS Pilani were also included.
