Punjab Board 10th Result 2019 Declared: 85.56% Pass, Pass Percentage zooms by 26.09%

Punjab Board 10th Result 2019: Girls have achieved a pass percentage of 90.63%, up by 21.50% from 69.13% in 2019. On the other hand, boys have shown a remarkable improvement in pass percentage by 28.99% with 81.30% passing this year as compared to 52.31% in 2018.

Punjab Board 10th Result 2019: The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has announced the Punjab Board Class 10th Result 2019 on its official website – pseb.ac.in. The overall pass percentage stands at 85.56%, magnificently up by 26.09% from last year’s 59.47%. Pathankot has achieved the highest pass percentage of 91.2%. Though border district Tarn Taran performed the lowest at 74.26% pass percentage in 2019; however, the area has shown immense improvement as compared to its last year’s pass percentage at 33.34% only. Girls have achieved a pass percentage of 90.63%, up by 21.50% from 69.13% in 2019. On the other hand, boys have shown a remarkable improvement in pass percentage by 28.99% with 81.30% passing this year as compared to 52.31% in 2018. PSEB had declared the Punjab Board Class 10th 2019 Merit List yesterday i.e. on 8th May 2019 in a press meet at its headquarters in SAS Nagar, Mohali. Ludhiana girl, Neha Verma was declared the state topper for 2019 with 99.54%. Neha studied at Teja Singh Samundri Senior Secondary School in Ludhiana and scored 647/650 marks.. Second position was held jointly by Harleen Kaur, Ankita Sachdeva and Anjali with 645/650 marks and 99.23%. Seven students namely Abhigyan Kumar, Khushpreet Kaur, Aneesha Chopra, Jia Nanda, Damanpreet Kaur, Jashanpreet Kaur and Soni Kaur followed close with 645/650 marks and 99.08% to bag the third rank. Three students namely Nandini Mahajan, Ritika and Neeraj Yadav scored 100% and were declared toppers in the sports category. The Punjab Board Class 10th Annual Exams 2019 were organized from 15th March to 2nd April 2019. A total of 317387 had appeared in regular mode, out of which 271554 have qualified the exam, registering a pass percentage of 85.56%. On the other hand, 25017 students had appeared in open school learning mode and mere 8187 were declared pass, recording a dismal pass percentage of 32.73% only. Students of rural area have surpassed their urban area counterparts with pass percentages at 86.67% and 83.38% respectively. Government schools too have put up a great show with 88.21% students passing the matriculation exam, followed by affiliated and Adarsh schools at 86.95%, associated schools at 79.51% and aided schools at 70.73% pass percent.
