Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam 2023: PM Modi Inaugurates Two-Day Shiksha Mahakumbh

The Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam is being organised on July 29 and 30, 2023.

Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam 2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, July 29 inaugurated the Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam 2023. The ‘Samagam’ coincides with the third anniversary of the National Education Policy, NEP 2020. While addressing at Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam, PM Modi said that our focus is both on modern and ancient means of education.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “It is education that has the power to change the destiny of the country. Education has an important role in achieving the target with which the country is moving forward. You are the representative of this. It is an important opportunity for me as well to be a part of Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam."

"NCERT preparing news books for education in around 130 subjects with all 22 Indian languages. From social science to engineering, education will be now in Indian languages. It is possible because of NEP and all languages will get their due respect," said PM Modi.

“When we announced the National Education Policy 3 years ago, we had a huge task but the commitment and dedication shown by all of you in implementing the NEP and to accept new ideas and experiments The courage shown is really overwhelming and creates new confidence,” PM Modi said while appreciating NEP 2020. 

"Judging the youth on the basis of their language instead of their talent is the biggest injustice done. Due to the education in the mother tongue by NEP 2020, the real justice towards youth is going to start," PM Modi further said.

The two-day Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam, scheduled for July 29 and July 30, aims to create a platform for various stakeholders in the education sector. Academics, sector experts, policymakers, industry representatives, teachers, and students from schools, higher education institutions, and skilling organizations will come together to share their valuable insights, success stories, and best practices in implementing the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The event will focus on strategizing and finding ways to further advance the implementation of NEP 2020, ensuring its successful execution and impact in the education landscape.

The Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam will feature sixteen comprehensive sessions, focusing on diverse themes such as ensuring Access to Quality Education and Governance, fostering Equitable and Inclusive Education, addressing the challenges faced by Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups, exploring the National Institute Ranking Framework, preserving the rich heritage of the Indian knowledge system, and promoting Internationalisation of Education, among other important topics.
