The Exam Regulatory Authority, Uttar Pradesh has started accepting applications for the Uttar Pradesh National Merit Cum Means Scholarship (NMMS) 2023. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship on the official website - entdata.co.in. The last date to submit the registration cum application forms for the scholarship is September 18, 2023. The shortlisting of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in a written first. Candidates may also note that there is no application fee for applying for the scholarship. 

Rolled out in 2008, the National Merit Cum Means Scholarship offers a financial aid of Rs 12,000 to students from Class 9 to Class 12. Students who are currently studying Class 8 are eligible to apply for the scholarship. While the online application process for the UP NMMS Scholarship 2023 has begun, the dates of the written examination for the scholarship shall be announced soon by the authority. 

Furthermore, candidates must note that their annual family income should not be more than 3.5 Lakh Rupees. Moreover, General category candidates must have scored a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Class 7, while candidates form the reserved category should have scored at least 50% in class 7. 

Candidates applying for the scholarship will be required to appear for the scholarship entrance test which shall comprise two papers: Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). Each of the exam papers shall consist of 90 questions and students will be allowed a maximum time of 90 minutes to answer all questions in each paper.
