NTA PhD Entrance Test 2023: Interested candidates can apply online on phd-entrance.samarth.ac.in.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the registration process for the PhD entrance test for University of Delhi (DU), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), and Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU). Eligible candidates are encouraged to apply for the NTA PhD entrance test 2023 through the official website, phd-entrance.samarth.ac.in. The deadline for application submission and payment of the application fee is September 8.

NTA has announced that the PhD entrance test 2023 correction window will be accessible from September 9, allowing candidates to make edits to their application forms until September 11. According to the eligibility criteria, candidates who have completed their postgraduate or equivalent examination, or are appearing in 2023, can participate in the PhD entrance test for DU, JNU, BHU, and BBAU. Notably, there is no age restriction for appearing in the exam.

“Information about the eligibility, scheme of exam, exam centers, exam timings, exam fee, procedure for applying etc. are contained in the Information Bulletin hosted on the website of NTA,” said NTA in the official notice.

The PhD entrance test 2023 is scheduled to last for a duration of three hours. The test will consist of two sections: Section 1 focuses on research methodology, and Section 2 concentrates on the chosen subject. The question paper will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions. In terms of scoring, candidates will receive four marks for each correct response, while one mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

PhD Entrance Test 2023 Registration: Steps To Apply

Step 1: Visit the official website, phd-entrance.samarth.ac.in.

Step 2: Click on 'login'.

Step 3: Now click on 'New Registration'.

Step 4: Fill the application form.

Step 5: Upload the required documents.

Step 6: Pay the application fee.

Step 7: Submit the application form.

Step 8: Download the confirmation page for future reference.

Application Fee

For the General category, the application fee is Rs 1,200, with an additional Rs 800 for an extra test paper. OBC-NCL and Gen-EWS candidates are required to pay Rs 1,100, along with Rs 700 for an additional test paper. The SC, ST, and third gender candidates have an application fee of Rs 1,000, with Rs 700 for an extra test paper. Similarly, PwBD candidates are also required to pay Rs 1,000, with an additional Rs 700 for an extra test paper.
