NIRF Rankings 2023: Here's The List Of Top 10 Pharmacy Colleges In India

In the NIRF Rankings 2023, the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Hyderabad has been ranked as the best Pharmacy college in India this year.

The NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) has announced the NIRF Rankings 2023 for higher education institutions across the country. Several institutions, universities, and colleges have been ranked in terms of various categories measuring several academic aspects. Candidates who wish to pursue higher education in various streams like Engineering, Management, Medical and others can have a look at the Top Colleges and Institutions in their stream of choice. In the Top Pharmacy Colleges in India, the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Hyderabad has secured the top rank. The prestigious pharmacy college in Hyderabad is followed by Jamia Hamdard New Delhi, and BITS Pilani. Earlier last year, IN THE nirf rANKINGS 2022, Jamia Hamdard was ranked as the best pharmacy college in India, while NIPER Hyderabad was at the 2nd spot last year. However, the last year positions of these premier pharmacy colleges have been reversed this year. 

Earlier today, June 5, 2023. Union Minister of State for Education and External Affairs Rajkumar Ranjan Singh released the 8th Edition of the NIRF Rankings. The NIRF rates and evaluates educational institutions in India on various parameters and prepares a ranking for such institutions every year under various categories. The parameters on which the NIRF evaluates educational institutions include teaching learning and resources, research and professional practice, graduation outcome, outreach and inclusivity and perception.

For 2023, the NIRF has released the ranking of educational institutions in India, the NIRF Rankings 2023 across 11 different categories. These categories include: Overall, University, College, Research, Medical, Dental, Management, Pharmacy, Law, Engineering, and Architecture. Notably, the first NIRF Rankings were announced in 2016. Since then, the NIRF Rankings have been representing the academic excellence, outreach, growth and several other parameters which have a role in the growth and progress of an educational institution.
