NIRF Ranking 2024: IIT Madras Tops Engineering List, 2 Colleges From UP & 2 From Telangana In Top 10 – Full List Here

IIT Madras retains the top spot in the NIRF 2024 engineering rankings for the ninth year. This year, IIT (BHU) Varanasi entered the top ten.

In the NIRF 2024 engineering rankings, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras retained its tag of the best engineering college for the ninth consecutive year. It was followed by IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay, which secured the second and third ranks, respectively. IIT Kanpur came in fourth, while IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee occupied the fifth and sixth positions.

Jadavpur University, which was in the top ten in 2023, dropped out of the top ten in 2024, making way for IIT (Banaras Hindu University) Varanasi, which entered the top ten in the tenth position this year.

 

IIT Madras bagging the top rank for the sixth time in a row is a validation of the institute's dedication to producing world-class talent and driving impactful research, its director V Kamakoti said on Monday.

"This consecutive NIRF top ranking is more than just an accolade; it is a validation of our dedication to producing world-class talent and driving impactful research that addresses national and global challenges. We are humbled by this recognition and remain committed to serving the nation through education and innovation," the IIT Madras director told PTI.
