NIRF Ranking 2024: 6 DU Colleges Among India's Top 10 – Here's The List Of Best Colleges

New Delhi: Hindu College of Delhi University has ended Miranda House's seven-year reign at the top of the 'colleges' category in the NIRF rankings. In the ninth edition of the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings, announced by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday, six Delhi University colleges secured spots in the top 10 nationwide.

Delhi University itself saw significant progress, climbing five positions to secure sixth place in the 'university' category. Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh praised the students, faculty, and staff for their hard work, attributing this achievement to "teamwork" and "dedication." He expressed confidence that the university and its affiliated colleges will reach even greater milestones in the future.

In the NIRF 2024 rankings, Hindu College claimed the top position, with Miranda House and St. Stephen's College following in second and third place, respectively. Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College secured fifth place, Kirori Mal College ranked ninth, and Lady Shri Ram College for Women rounded out the top 10, further solidifying Delhi University's strong national standing.

Celebrating the top rank, Hindu College Principal Anju Srivastava told PTI, "Our ranking in the NIRF is very encouraging for the students. It is an indication of the direction we are working towards to improve the learning experience of students. It's our responsibility, in whichever position we stand as a good college of the university or the nation."

"I think Hindu College has been doing good all the time. For us principals, these are just indicators that give us the push to better ourselves. Such rankings are always taken in a positive light," she added.
