A large group of students assembled on the streets, where they burned effigies and tires to express their discontent. Police officers were present and used mild force to disperse the gathering. Students raised concerns about unfairness and alleged problems with the exam process. The students highlighted issues like leaked question papers and problems with how the exams were graded. They demand fair exams that give everyone an equal chance. The protest aimed to push officials to address these concerns and make sure future exams are fair.

The National Testing Agency, NTA, earlier decided to conduct the NEET UG 2024 examination again on June 23, 2024, for 1,563 students who faced delays during the initial exam scheduled on May 5, 2024. Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and Congress leader Digvijay Singh on Friday demanded a probe into the alleged irregularities in the NEET UG exams 2024 and said that the entire exam should be cancelled.

The NEET UG 2024 exam has been surrounded by controversy because of accusations of question paper leaks and other problems. To make things worse, the NTA gave extra marks to 1,563 students who lost time during the exam, but the Supreme Court later canceled these extra marks. This situation led to student protests and legal actions, with many calling for the exam to be canceled and thoroughly investigated.
