NEET 2020: NTA To Announce Results Today, Here's the Direct Link And Steps On How To Check Score

NEET 2020: The much-awaited National Entrance Eligibility Test (NEET 2020) results for the medical students will be declared today on 16th October. Over 14.37 lakh candidates who had appeared for the medical entrance exam on September 13 can check the results through the websites- nta.ac.in, ntaneet.nic.in. Students will have to enter their roll number mentioned on the admit card to view their scorecard. The time for the result has not been announced by the National Testing Agency or NTA.

The NTA also conducted a re-exam on October 14 following the Supreme Court’s order. In the exam held Wednesday, the physics section was termed difficult. In comparison to phase-I, both chemistry and biology were easier this time. The result for both exams will be declared today and the students can check their NEET 2020 results by following the below steps.
Steps to check NEET 2020 result:
Step 1. Visit the NTA's official website – ntaneet.nic.in or mcc.nic.in
Step 2. Click on the "NEET Exam Results 2020 link.
Step 3. Enter the examination roll number, date of birth, and other required details in the provided fields.
Step 4. Click on the 'submit' button.
Step 5. Take a print out of the result copy and secure it for your future references.
NTA is only responsible for announcing the results. As for the admission formalities, the online counseling for All India Quota of MBBS and BDS seats would be done by the Medical Counselling Committee – MCC. This year, the admission to AIIMS MBBS and JIPMER MBBS programs would also be done on the basis of the NEET 2020 Score.
NEET 2020 result: Merit list and admission
NEET 2020 merit list will be prepared as per the directives of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Medical Council of India (MC), and Dental Council of India (DCI). Admission procedure will be done in accordance with NEET Medical merit list 2020, NEET Dental merit list 2020.
NTA concluded the NEET exam on September 13 in offline mode. Admission into MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, BVSc & AH courses will be on the basis of NEET scores/ ranks.
Minimum criteria to qualify for courses
To qualify for MBBS/BSD courses, candidates need to obtain a minimum of 50th percentile in NEET. For those from the reserved categories including SC and ST category, the minimum marks are 40th percentile and for PwD candidates it is 45th percentile. The NEET score is accepted in Indian colleges and institutes and as per the latest rule, NEET is also mandatory for Indian students aspiring to study medicine and related fields abroad.
The special quota for terror attack victims
This year, the government has introduced a quota for family members of those affected by terror attacks in both MBBS and BDS admissions. Children of such people who are exposed to substantive risks due to their assignment mainly related to combating acts of terrorism, children of people who have come in the ‘hit list’ of terrorist organisations, and children of such families who have migrated from Kashmir due to the current situation and have lost their means of livelihood including their business or use of their properties are also eligible for the central pool of MBBS and BDS seats.
