NEET PG 2023 Postponement Plea: SC To Continue Hearing Matter On Monday

The Bench clarified that it has not made a decision either in favor or against the postponement and keeping the issue open till the next date of hearing.

The Supreme Court adjourned the hearing on the NEET postponement plea till February 27. Supreme Court asked the National Board Of Examinations to provide specific details and propose a solution. The bench categorically mentioned that it is not passing any order either way and keeping the issue open till the next date of hearing.

NEET PG 2023 is scheduled on March 5, 2023. The doctors who are aspirants of NEET PG 2023 candidates have filed a petition requesting the postponement of the post-graduate medical examination. The two writ petitions have been filed by Advocate Tanvi Dubey.

Recently, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) extended the NEET PG 2023 internship cut-off date to June 30, 2023.

As per the filed petition, subsequent to the extension of the internship cut-off date, candidates from numerous states approached the NBE requesting a further extension of the cut-off date and the postponement of the examination, as over 13,000 candidates remained ineligible.

However, upon receiving no response from the NBE, candidates decided to utilize their legal rights and options.

Students and medical bodies have been citing that the COVID-19 induced delays in the NEET 2022 counseling and admissions have taken a toll on the preparation of medical aspirants. Hence, with NEET 2022 stray round counseling being conducted in January, candidates won’t have ample time to prepare for NEET PG 2023, if conducted in March 2023, as scheduled.

What Is NEET PG Exam?
