The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has started the application process for the UP Police Computer Operator Grade-A, and Programmer Grade-2 Recruitment 2024. Interested candidates who wish to apply for the recruitment drive can submit their applications online on the official website - uppbpb.gov.in. 

The last date to apply for the recruitment is January 28, 2024. Registered candidates will be able to pay the application fee for the recruitment till January 30, 2024. However, candidates are advised to briefly check the eligibility criteria before applying for the UP Police Computer Operator, Programmer Recruitment 2024. The online application fee for both posts is Rs 400. 

UP Police Computer Operator, Programmer Recruitment 2024: Eligibility

To apply for the post of computer operator, candidates must have completed their Class 12 from a recognised board or university with Physics and Mathematics, and should also have completed the ‘O’ level examination in Computer. Also, to apply for the computer operator post, candidates must be aged between 18 to 28 years of age as of July 1, 2023.  

For the post of programmer, candidates must have completed their graduation from a recognised university and should also have completed the ‘A’ level examination in Computer. Moreover, to apply for the programmer post, candidates must be aged between 21 to 30 years as of July 1, 2023. 

UP Police Computer Operator, Programmer Recruitment 2024: Vacancies 

Notably, the UPPRPB is conducting the recruitment drive to fill a total of 985 vacancies for the posts of Computer Operator and Programmer in UP Police. Among the total posts on offer through the recruitment, a total of 930 vacancies are marked for the Computer Operator post, while 55 vacancies shall be filled for the Programmer post. 

UP Police Computer Operator, Programmer Recruitment 2024: Selection Procedure 

As per the official notification, the shortlisting of candidates for the recruitment shall be done based on an online written examination. The written examination shall consist of a total 160 questions for a maximum of 200 marks. Each correct response in the exam shall reward candidates with 1.25 marks. The exam paper shall consist of two sections where each section will carry 100 marks. Candidates will be allowed a maximum time limit of 2.5 hours to complete their examination. 

The exam paper for the Computer Operator post shall consist of questions on General Knowledge, Reasoning, Mental Ability, and Computer Knowledge. The exam paper for the programmer post shall consist of questions from Mental Ability, Reasoning, Information Technology, and Programming.
