BPSC conducted document verification (DV) for candidates in September. Subsequently, on October 8, the BPSC Chairman made a statement regarding the DV process. He mentioned that during the scrutiny of TRE DV, it was discovered that many candidates had submitted incorrect certificates and failed to produce the correct certificates during DV. This indicated that these discrepancies may have been deliberate. While this may or may not be a reason to halt the DV process, the consequences of such actions would be severe.

In terms of the qualifying criteria, different categories have different cutoff marks:

  • General category candidates must secure at least 40% to be considered qualified.
  • Backward class candidates should score a minimum of 36.5%.
  • Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates must achieve a score of 34%.
  • Women and Disabled (Divyang) candidates need to obtain at least 32% marks to be eligible for the vacancies.
