Held on March 8 and 9, 2025, the BARC OCES exam attracted thousands of science and engineering graduates across the country. The highly competitive test comprised 100 objective-type questions. For every correct answer, candidates earned 3 marks, while each incorrect response cost them 1 mark. Questions left unanswered carried no penalty.

What Happens Next?

Candidates who clear the written exam will soon move on to the next stage: the interview. The online portal to schedule interview slots will open on April 11, 2025, and remain accessible until April 18, 2025.

The selection interviews are scheduled to take place from May 20 to June 13. These will be conducted in Mumbai for all disciplines except Geology, which will be held in Hyderabad. To ease travel-related concerns, eligible outstation candidates will receive a reimbursement for a two-way AC-III tier train fare, calculated from their registered residential address via the shortest route.

The final list of candidates selected for the OCES 2025 programme will be published in the last week of June 2025. Selection will be based solely on interview performance, subject to medical fitness.
