AFCAT Registration 2024: The Indian Air Force, IAF has started registration for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) today, May 20, 2024.  Interested candidates are advised to apply for the IAF AFCAT 2024 exam through the official websites at careerindianairforce.cdac.in and afcat.cdac.in. The last date to apply online for the AFCAT 2024 examination is June 28, 2024. Indian Air Force (IAF) will conduct three stages: Written Test, AFSB Interview, and Medical Examination to shortlist eligible candidates through the AFCAT 2024 exam.

AFCAT 2024 has 304 vacancies, including Short Service Commission (SSC) positions in the Flying Branch and Ground Duty branches, covering both Technical and Non-Technical roles. Candidates who clear the AFSB interview will have a medical exam. The medical examination is conducted at specific centers: the Institute of Aviation Medicine in Bengaluru and the Air Force Central Medical Establishment (AFCME).

AFCAT Exam Pattern

The AFCAT exam 2024 consists of four sections: General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability and Reasoning, and Military Aptitude Test. The exam will be of a duration of two hours. The AFCAT exam will include 100 questions and will be worth 300 marks.

AFCAT 2024 Educational Qualification 

For the Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Non-technical) positions, aspirants should have attained a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level, along with a three-year graduation degree or a BE/BTech degree with at least 60% from a recognized university.

For the Ground Duty (Technical) Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) positions, candidates need at least 60% in Physics and Mathematics in their class 12th exams. Candidates must also have a degree in engineering or technology from a recognized university.
