36,000 More Vacancies To Be filled Soon, Says Haryana CM Saini

Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini announced 36,000 new jobs, 76 new colleges including 32 for women, and initiatives to empower women with free education, loans, and increased representation in governance.

Kurukshetra: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced that his government is set to fill 36,000 new job vacancies, highlighting that the current administration has already provided 1.44 lakh jobs to youth purely on merit. During his Independence Day address, Saini reaffirmed the government's commitment to economic and educational advancements for women, as well as ensuring a secure environment for them.

After hoisting the national flag and paying tribute to the martyrs, Saini outlined various government initiatives. He emphasized that the state government has not only created 1.44 lakh jobs based on merit but is also gearing up to fill 36,000 more positions soon. Additionally, 1.20 lakh jobs have been secured for employees working under outsourcing services and the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam.

On the educational front, Saini noted the establishment of 76 new colleges across the state, including 32 dedicated to women. He highlighted that girls in Haryana now have access to free education up to the postgraduate level. The government has also provided education loans amounting to Rs 20.28 crore to 5,105 girls pursuing higher studies abroad, with a five per cent interest subsidy.

To further empower women, one-third of ration depots in the state have been allocated to women. Saini also mentioned the ambitious goal of transforming two lakh women into 'Lakhpati Didis' through various training programs, with the first phase targeting 62,000 women. 

Saini praised the Prime Minister for introducing the Nari Shakti Vandan Bill, aimed at increasing women's participation in democracy through a 33 per cent reservation in legislative bodies. Reflecting this ethos, Haryana has ensured 50 per cent representation for women in Panchayati Raj institutions.

The Chief Minister also addressed the state’s efforts to eradicate fear, corruption, nepotism, and regionalism, which have hindered equitable development and access to government jobs. He announced an increase in pensions for freedom fighters and their widows to Rs 40,000 per month starting from July.

Furthermore, the state government has decided to implement a 10 per cent reservation for Agniveers in its direct recruitments.

Hailing Haryana as a land of opportunities and innovations, Saini highlighted the state's significant contribution to the central food grain stock and its robust automobile manufacturing sector. He noted that Haryana has achieved balanced development across all sectors, guided by the principle of 'Haryana ek-Haryanvi ek'.

To enhance connectivity, 20 new national highways have been announced, with nine already completed. Over the past decade, Rs 40,000 crore has been invested in constructing 1,350 km of national highways.

Finally, Saini lauded the achievements of Haryana’s athletes, particularly at the Paris Olympic Games, where they secured four out of the six medals won by India. He also mentioned the ongoing efforts to develop ultra-modern sports infrastructure to provide athletes with world-class training facilities.
