The Haryana Directorate of School Education has issued a notification revising school timings for the upcoming 2024-25 academic sessions, with adjustments based on seasonal changes. The revised timings apply to both single-shift and double-shift schools across the state and reflect the needs of students and teachers for both summer and winter operations.
On the social media platform X, Haryana’s chief minister posted, "Instructions have been issued to revise the timings in Haryana schools for the 2024-25 session. Single-shift schools will operate from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during the winter. Double-shift schools (until February 15, 2025) will conduct the first shift from 7:55 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and the second shift from 12:40 p.m. to 5:15 p.m."
Winter Schedule: Special Timings For Double-Shift Schools
From November 12, 2024, schools operating under the double-shift model will temporarily adjust their second-shift timing for the winter session. During this period, the second shift will run from 12:40 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. This seasonal adjustment will remain in effect each year from October 15 to February 15 for the second shift in double-shift schools.

Summer and Winter Timings For Single & Double-Shift Schools
1. Single-Shift Schools
Summer (February 16 to November 14): 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Winter (November 15 to February 15): 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
2. Double-Shift Schools
First Shift:
Summer (February 16 to November 14): 7:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Winter (October 15 to February 15): 7:55 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Summer (February 16 to October 14): 12:45 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.
