Education Minister Wishes Good Luck To NEET 2020 Aspirants, Asks Students To Follow Covid 19 Protocol, Know The Guidelines Here

NEET 2020: Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal asked students to be confident and follow the Covid 19 protocol. The minister also thanked the state governments for making the required arrangements.

As around 16 lakhs students will appear for the NEET 2020 exams, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' on Sunday today took to his Twitter handle to wish students good luck for appearing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to medical courses. Also Read|NEET 2020 Exam Center Guideline: Full List of Dos & Don'ts For Candidates The minister said that like the JEE exams, students appearing for NEET will follow guidelines for precaution against Coronavirus, which has affected over 46 lakh people in the country. "Today, I extend my best wishes to all the candidates who are appearing in the NEET examination. I am confident that even in the NEET exam, students will follow the Corona guidelines like all the JEE candidates and take the exam with full patience, self-control and confidence," he said. He also thanked the state governments for making arrangements in compliance with the Covid-safety protocols issued by the centre in subsequent tweets.
"All the State Governments have made concrete arrangements with proper arrangements in compliance with the health guidelines issued by the Government of India and thank all the states for this. #NEET My best wishes to all," he tweeted this morning. In order to prevent the spread of Coronavirus among students appearing for the Neet 2020 exams. the National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued Sops to be followed by the students. How examination will unfold: check steps:
  • Candidates report in batches from 11:00 A.M onwards(as per the staggered time slot mentioned in admit card)
  • At the entry of Registration Room their body tempertaure is recorded through thermal gun.
  • If temperature (< 37.4°C/99.4°F) , they move to frisking personnnel for frisking.
  • If temperature is (> 37.4°C/99.4°F), they will be taken to Isolation Room. All processes of frisking and document verification will be done after a period of 15-20 minutes. In this time their temperature may become even normal, if not they will be allowed to take the examination alone in a separate room.
  • Candidates display Admit card, Valid Govt. ID proof, PwD certificate(if PwD candidate), Scribe undertaking (if applicable in proforma given in Information Bulletin) to Invigilator on duty across the table.
  • After due verification, Invigilator checks seat allocation chart & direct them to their examination room as per roll number.
  • Invigilator on Duty outside the Registration Room ensures that students enter the Registration Room in batches of 10 (first) and then 5 when the first 5 leave. After leaving he/she directs Candidates to their Examination room.
Dress code: Candidates are advised to wear light-colored and half sleeved weather-appropriate loose clothes. Shoes are not allowed and candidates must wear open and flat sandals or slippers to the examination. Jewellery is not advisable and only candidates required to wear certain jewellery for religious reasons may be permitted. Though headscarves and turbans are allowed, they are subject to frisking. Watches, both analog or digital are not permitted. Candidates will be permitted to carry only these items with them into the examination room/hall:
  • Mask on face
  • Gloves on hand
  • Personal transparent water bottle
  • Personal small hand sanitizer (50 ml)
  • Exam related documents as instructed (Admit Card, ID card, etc)
  • No other item to be permitted inside the examination room/hall. The admit card will clearly state what candidates are permitted to carry and what they are not permitted to carry.
