CBSE Students Who Failed In Class 9, Class 11 To Be Allowed To Re-Appear In School-Based Tests
CBSE Students of Class 9 & Class 11 who haven't cleared their exams, to be given an opportunity to re-appear for the school-based tests again.
New Delhi: CBSE Students of Class 9 & Class 11 who failed their examinations, will be given an opportunity to appear for the school-based tests once again.
CBSE has taken this one-time decision considering the unprecedented crisis of Coronavirus and how that put a lot of stress on students as well as their parents.
Announcing the decision on Twitter, Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank wrote, "In view of the unprecedented circumstances of Covid-19, I have advised all CBSE schools to provide an opportunity to all students, who have failed in 9th and 11th to take online/offline tests."
"The opportunity will be extended to students irrespective of whether their examinations have been completed and the exam results have been released or their exams have not been completed. The facility is to be extended irrespective of the number of subjects and attempts." - CBSE said in a statement. So the opportunity will be extended to a student who has re-appeared before the notification was released. The schools are given the option to conduct online, offline, or an innovative test, on the basis of which a student will be assessed and promoted for the next class. The schools have also been directed to provide sufficient time for exam preparation. In view of the unprecedented circumstances of Covid-19, I have advised all CBSE schools to provide an opportunity to all students, who have failed in 9th and 11th to take online/offline tests. #IndiaFightsCoronaVirus pic.twitter.com/3wRCdtbRuV
