CBSE board exam 2019: In a letter addressed to parents, CBSE has urged parents to be a source of motivation and inspiration for their wards, and to avoid putting any undue exam stress or anxiety on their wards who by nature feel nervous during exam time.

CBSE board exam 2019: Ahead of CBSE Board Examinations 2019, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an important message for parents of the students who’ll be appearing for Class 10th and Class 12th Board Exams commencing this month. In a letter addressed to parents, CBSE has urged parents to be a source of motivation and inspiration for their wards, and to avoid putting any undue exam stress or anxiety on their wards who by nature feel nervous during exam time. ‘We request you to help them trust themselves and their potentials, have faith in their exploration beyond artificial boundaries of subjects, and become all that they dream of.’ read the letter. As the Admit Cards for CBSE Board Examinations 2019 have been issued by the Board, it has requested parents to read the important instructions thoroughly with their wards to apprise them of the do’s and don’ts for the exam day. CBSE has suggested parents to visit the examination centre allotted to their children at least a day before the beginning of the exams, to avoid any last minute hurdles, understand the expected traffic and time required for reaching the destination on time, and to ensure that their child is heading to the correct centre on the exam day. The Board has clearly mentioned that, ‘No Child will be permitted after 10 am’ and parents must ensure their ward reaches the examination centre on or before 9:45 am and is seated comfortably before 10 am at the examination hall. CBSE has also requested parents to not gather outside the exam centres during the exams and must refrain from entering the exam centre. CBSE has notified that parents must ensure that their wards carry the requisite stationery items in a clear bag and ‘must not carry cell phones, wallets, purses, chits or pieces of paper, old question papers, or anything that draws suspicion about the possibility of unfair means being adopted.’ Parents must encourage their wards to obey instructions given in the exam hall to ensure discipline and smooth conduct of exam papers. The students must read through the question paper and follow instructions given on the question papers and answer sheets. Lastly, CBSE has requested the students and parents to steer clear of any rumours and report any suspicious activity to CBSE at parents2cbse@gmail.com. On the other hand, CBSE commenced Pre-exam psychological counselling last week for students and parents to help students overcome exam anxiety and stress while preparing as well as appearing for the CBSE Board Examinations 2019. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made available 65 principals and trained counsellors in India, 2 special educators and 22 counsellors in foreign schools to serve the purpose. The pre-exam psychological counselling will be available till 4th April 2019 and interested parents/students can know more here.
