Bihar NEET UG 2024 Round 1 Seat Allotment: The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has cancelled the initial Bihar NEET UG Round 1 counselling seat allotment and released a revised schedule for MBBS and BDS admissions under the 85% state quota. As per revised schedule, the updated Round 1 seat allotment results will be declared on September 27 on the official website at bceceboard.bihar.gov.in.

This move follows a Supreme Court ruling on a petition by Vichar Manch, Patna, which sought to remove the 'Tanti-Tantwa' caste from the Scheduled Caste (SC) list and reclassify it under the Extremely Backward Classes (EBC) category, merging it with the 'Pan/Sawasi' caste.

Candidates who are allotted seats in the revised Round 1 but fail to report to their assigned college or complete the document verification process will be considered for an automatic free exit, nullifying their previous choices. Those who opted for upgradation must also complete the counselling process and submit fresh choices for Round 2.

In compliance with the Supreme Court order, candidates from the Tanti-Tantwa caste who had initially selected the SC category in their applications were allowed to update their category to EBC, and 30 candidates made this change.

As a result, the seat allotment results announced on August 21 were withdrawn, and a revised allotment will be published. Candidates can check the updated Bihar UGMAC 2024 rank card and allotment details on the admission portal using their UGMAC ID and date of birth.
