Assam Board Exams 2021: HSLC Class 10 Exams Postponed In View Of Covid-19, Check Details

Assam Board Exams 2021: The Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) has deferred the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) or Class 10 board exams 2021 due to the surge in the COVID-19 cases across the state. The decision was taken as a precautionary measure regarding the safety and health of the staff and students. The Assam Board class 10 board exams were scheduled to be conducted from May 11, 2021. 

"Due to the prevailing situation of COVID-19 in the state of Assam, the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examinations 2021, scheduled to be held from the 11th of May, 2021, has been postponed until further notice." reads the official notice. 

As per the earlier examination schedule, The Assam Board HSLC or class 10 theory exams were scheduled to be conducted in offline mode from May 11 to June 1, 2021. The results for the SEBA class 10 exams will have been announced by July 7, 2021. The Assam Board Class 10 practical exams were conducted on March 4 and 5, 2021.

The fresh dates for the Assam Board HSLC or class 10 board exams will be announced only after the conditions will be conducive to hold exams. 

Most of the state boards have already either postponed or canceled their board exams in view of the rising number of coronavirus cases. Recently, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Council for The Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) have also canceled the class 10th board exams and had postponed the class 12th board exams in light of the pandemic.
