Republic Day 2024: Troops Brave Chilly Morning To Prepare For Grand Parade: Video
Republic Day 2024: Indian security forces continued their parade rehearsals on Wednesday morning along the Kartavya Path, braving the chilly conditions in Delhi.
The rehearsals for the Republic Day Parade 2024 continued on Wednesday in Delhi at the Kartavya Path. Bands of different wings of security forces were seen performing at the rehearsals amid the mercury dipping to 7.1 degrees Celsius. A layer of fog engulfed the national capital as the forces marched in all glory. News agency ANI shared the visuals from Kartavya Path this morning.

Security personnel were seen marching in their uniforms as part of the rehearsals for Republic Day.

In view of these ongoing rehearsals, Delhi Traffic Police issued a traffic advisory so that the commuters won't have to face any repercussions. It advised the commuters to avoid Vijay Chowk, Man Singh Road, and other Kartavya Path crossings. The Delhi Traffic Police tweeted, "Traffic Alert: Due to Republic Day Parade Rehearsal kindly avoid Vijay Chowk, Rafi Marg-Kartavyapath crossing, Janpath- Kartavyapath crossing, & Man Singh Road- Kartavyapath crossing from 0700 Hrs to 1130 Hrs on 10-01-2024."

India is set to celebrate its 75th Republic Day on January 26, 2024. Republic Day is celebrated to honour the date when the nation completed its transition towards becoming an independent republic after the Constitution of India came into effect.
To make this occasion even more special, the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, will be visiting India as the chief guest for the Republic Day celebrations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will escort him to the dias to watch the Indian security forces show their full might.
