'Modi Left No Stone Unturned To Crush AAP': Arvind Kejriwal's Barb At PM After Interim Bail

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal addressed a press conference at AAP's party office a day after being granted an interim bail.

A day after walking out of Tihar jail after spending 50 days under custody, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday spoke for the first time at the Aam Aadmi Party's office in Delhi. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, and Delhi Ministers and AAP leaders Atishi Singh and Sanjay Singh were also present there. During the address, Kejriwal launched scathing attacks at PM Modi saying that he "left no stone unturned to crush AAP."

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said: "...Our Aam Aadmi Party is a small party, present in two states. But the Prime Minister left no stone unturned to crush our party and sent four leaders to jail simultaneously. If four top leaders of big parties go to jail, the party ends. The Prime Minister wants to crush AAP...PM Modi himself believes that AAP is the one that will give future to the country..."

"BJP is losing majority everywhere...Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajastha, Karnataka, Bihar, Delhi, Maharashtra, West Bengal...they are losing seats everywhere...people are saying the BJP will not win more than 220-230 seats...I.N.D.I.A Bloc will form the government.." the Delhi CM said, claiming that the saffron party will not get a third tenure.

Stressing on the harassment faced by AAP, the Delhi CM said: "...No other party has been harassed to this extent in 75 years. The Prime Minister is saying that he is fighting corruption but all the thieves are in his party. 10 days ago the one who was said to have committed a scam after they made them join their party was made the Deputy CM and Minister..."

Inviting PM Modi to learn how to fight corruption from him, the AAP supremo said: "I want to say to PM Modi that If you want to fight corruption then learn from Kejriwal…After the formation of the government in Delhi, I myself dismissed one of my ministers and sent him to jail. In Punjab, we sent a minister to jail."

Kejriwal then went on to slam the PM, alleging that he included "thieves" in BJP, and stated: "You include all the thieves in your party and send Kejriwal to jail, this is not a fight against corruption...By arresting Kejriwal, they have given the message that if Kejriwal is arrested then they will arrest anyone. The name of this mission is 'One Nation One Leader..."

Prior to this, the AAP chief had visited the Hanuman Temple in Connaught Place along with his wife Sunita Kejriwal and his Punjab counterpart Mann.

Following his release from the Tihar jail, the Delhi CM had addressed his supporters gathered there, informing them about his schedule for the first day after stepping out of jail.

Later today, Arvind Kejriwal will hold a roadshow in south Delhi along with Bhagwant Mann.

The Delhi CM, who has been granted interim bail till June 1, has been asked by the Supreme Court to furnish a personal bond of Rs 50,000 and to surrender on June 2, after the Lok Sabha campaigning ends.

The apex court granted temporary relief to the AAP supremo, allowing him to campaign for his party, as the Lok Sabha elections are currently underway in the country.

The Delhi CM has been asked by the Supreme Court to avoid getting involved in discharging any official duties as the CM while he is out on bail. Thetop court also asked Kejriwal to abstain from commenting on his involvement in the case and avoid interaction with any witnesses of the case.

Besides these, Arvind Kejriwal has also been prohibited from visiting the CM's office and Delhi Secretariat.
