'PM Modi Is Ram's Avtaar': Pakistani Refugee Tells Delhi BJP MP As Centre Notifies CAA Rules. WATCH

A day after the centre announced the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), Delhi BJP MP Manoj Tiwari met with Pakistani refugees in north Delhi's Majnu-ka-tilla area, news agency ANI reported. While praising PM Modi, he assured the refugees that everyone will get citizenship as promised by the BJP government.
"After fulfiling the promise of citizenship, soon we will also give you houses," Tiwari told refugees.
Speaking with Manoj Tiwari, one of the refugee called Prime Minister Narendra Modi as "Ram's avtaar". "Main Modi ko Ram ka avtar maanta hoon. (I think of PM Modi as the avtaar of Lord Ram)"
Celebrating the implementation of the CAA, refugees can be seen as dancing and raising slogans of "Jai Shri Ram" in the video shared by news agency ANI on its official X handle.

On Tuesday, the Centreb launched a new portal for everyone wanting to apply for citizenship under the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) of 2019. According to MHA officials, the government will also introduce a mobile app called 'CAA-2019' to make it easier to apply.

Meanwhile, a day after Assam Opposition leaders declared a 'Sabartmak hartal' in protest of the state's proclamation of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), Assam Police issued legal notice to 16 opposition political parties, ordering them to rescind their call for protest. “There is every likelihood of breach of peace and security leading to disruption of normal life. And in the event of any damage to public/private property or injury to any citizen, legal action under appropriate provisions of law will be initiated," the notice stated.
