On Sunday, May 11, bomb threats were reported via emails targeting twenty hospitals in Delhi, along with the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) and the Northern Railways' CPRO office. This incident occurred just 11 days after over 150 schools in Delhi-NCR received similar threats, leading to widespread panic.
Officials stated that the threats to schools originated from a Russia-based mailing service, while the emails targeting hospitals and other installations were traced back to a Europe-based company named 'beeble.com'. These emails were sent to hospitals such as Burari Hospital and Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, among others.
They contained warnings of explosive devices purportedly planted inside the buildings, demanding immediate action to disarm the bomb. The sender identified themselves as part of a group named 'Court' and threatened harm to innocent lives if their demands were not met.
Authorities suspect that the emails were sent using virtual private networks (VPNs) or proxy servers to hide the sender's IP address, complicating efforts to trace the origin. In response, the Delhi Police Special Cell is anticipated to launch an investigation and file a First Information Report (FIR) regarding the threats.
